JSON Compare

Compare two JSON values structurally in your browser. Key order in objects is ignored, while array position and value type matter.

Object key order is ignored; array order matters. Each input is limited to 128 KB, 32 levels and 2,500 values. Up to 500 differences are shown.

How to use it

  1. Paste original and updated JSON in the two editors.
  2. Compare to see added, removed, and modified paths.
  3. Copy or download the plain-text difference report.

Example & limitations

For example, compare {"active":true} with {"active":false,"role":"editor"} to find one change and one addition.

Each input is limited to 128 KB, 32 nesting levels, and 2,500 values; reports stop at 500 differences. Invalid JSON, comments, and trailing commas are not accepted. No code is executed.
